Pub Spy Review

The Crosskeys Inn is the oldest thatched pub in Northern Ireland - if not the whole of Ireland.

Dating to 1654, the bar is one our most famous Irish traditional music pubs. So there was no better day to enjoy it that on St. Patrick's Day.

Along with two friends who have a keen interest in Irish dancing, we made our way to the the Crosskeys Inn around 4pm. We were there an hour before the traditional music kicked off and the complimentary Irish stew was being dished out.

This was just perfect.

Before long my two friends were attempting a two-hand reel while Pub Spy maintained the spectator role - clapping along.

This is the epitome of a traditional Irish bar. It has atmosphere, stellar service, experienced staff, top-calss entertainment and the perfect pint of Guinness.

Its been a few years since ive last had a visit to the crosskeys inn, what an amazing place, im a singer musician, ive worked for vincent in the past years and id love to do a gig sometime soon in the pub, vincent and his wife deserve the best simply because they are the best…i look forward to a catch up soon vincent..slán anois
